I 2007 I built my first photo notecard with an actual photograph. In Temple TX where I now live, "Paperdoodles" (www.paperdoodles.com) at 1401 S. 31st Street, Suite "C", hosts a spinner rack of these cards. I recently swapped out the rack of 14 different cards and included a card that customers have used for Easter notes. "Mission Cross and Shadow" is a symbolic reminder of the meaning of Easter in Christian faiths. Besides this card, you'll find cards for saying "Thank You" and "Happy Birthday", for expressing sympathy, and for celebrating spring. Every few weeks the cards change, but the basic features are the same...blank inside, companion envelope, soy-based-inks, and recycled paper frames that are conservation-quality and perfect for framing as a keepsake. A larger batch of these cards travels to local markets with me for I remember what a fine art professor said one day, "True art is both aesthetic and functional". I have taken that to heart; at these live markets, you can find a larger selection of cards in addition to bookmarks, mousepads, flexible jar openers, tile trivets with cork backs, matted prints on photographic paper, and prints on different substrates including fine art papers, metal and canvas. Prices range from $3 and up. I am proud of the quality of merchandise that I offer. I strive to create technically-proficient and soulful art, and I like to offer items that you can both use AND enjoy.
